MiniMax should work fine for pages that are made with Page layout Builder(Free version). May be there are some other issue.
And in current version to create new layout Col Buttons. Follow modules usage from here http://themes.wpeden.com/multipurpose-pro/modules/accordion/. The video is for an older version. We are updating it soon.
