It’s been a couple of months and I still haven’t found or received any help.

I will simplify my problem : I have created a custom taxonomy (let’s name it “Shoes”) in the Reviews post type.
Currently, the Top Rated Items widget displays all categories of the reviews (“Boots”, “Slippers”, etc. for example) + the custom taxonomy (“Shoes”).

How do I exclude “Shoes” reviews from the Top Rated Items widget ?

I have looked into the code, and my guess is that there’s some PHP code to be added to the wr-widgets.php file.

I would appreciate any help. Thanks !
