Just upgraded to WP 3.9 and now free version has bug. When I open module area on top is shaded out and I cannot edit. Tried deactivating other plugins but nothing works. Any ideas?May 14, 2014 at 10:46 pm #54114
I’ve just discovered that MiniMax is also conflicting with the new Widgets system in WP 3.9. With MM 3.0.2 active, they don’t work. As soon as I deactivate MM – the Widgets work – i.e. clicking on them reveals a new pull-down menu. With MM enabled, I can do nothing with Widgets.
My site has been converted to display a LOT of pictures via MM – so I can’t just deactivate it till an MM fix comes along. Guess I’ll have to skip using Widget for a while.

Thanks, I purchased MM 3.0.2 but I’m afraid if I delete the free version and add the Pro version my content will be gone. I depend on this plugin as well but I will have to move on if a fix doesn’t come out in a few days.

I too got the free version first, and then moved to the pro version, but did wait to do anything serious with the pro version. Perhaps you could create a dupe site and test there.
Let me know if you need some help with that – not hard but does involve a number of steps.
Otherwise – just backup the whole site – database and WP stuff. If you have to fall back – at least you’re covered. I think you can install the pro and free versions – just keep one disabled.
When you disable the plug in, naturally the features done with it will disappear. But knowing software – I suspect there is little FUNCTIONAL internal difference between the two – and when you enable the pro version, I think everything will be there as it is now – with access to the extra modules.

So I deleted the free version and activated the Pro version. None of the content shows. I reverted back to the free version that does not work and the content returned but with same old problem.
I think I will try and find a better layout builder. ThanksMay 15, 2014 at 10:40 pm #54123
Wow – what a bummer! I’m also under-whelmed by the support response from the developers.
I’ve been using the theme “Dandelion” from Pexeto at ThemeForest. You may be able to accomplish what you want with a decent theme. Their support is awesome – not instant, but always there.
Take a look here: http://tinyurl.com/3xl9e3l
I’m dumping MiniMax and reworking the site with the theme’s existing tools. I did find another layout plug-in; it was good but very heavy-handed and elaborate…
