Tagged: installed in wrong site
- September 3, 2012 at 9:48 pm #2212
I just purchased the single-site use of the plugin and installed it and entered the support key. Then I realized that I had screwed up. The site I intend to use it on doesn’t exist yet, so I installed it on another site where I could practice with it. What’s going to happen when I need to move it to the correct site? I hope I won’t have to buy a separate plugin. Thank you.September 4, 2012 at 1:44 pm #2214
you don’t have to purchase another copy. please send your support key to email@example.com, they will unlock it for you. ThanksSeptember 4, 2012 at 2:04 pm #2216
I’m not sure what “they will unlock it” actually means. Does that mean that it won’t work on my practice site anymore. I installed it where I did so I could test it out and practice with it before using it on its real site, and I have absolutely NO idea where/how to begin using it. I’d also like to know if there is any documentation for this product. I could find nothing– here or on the WP Dashboard.September 5, 2012 at 4:50 am #2218
Ok, when you will need to move it to live site let us know. Actually you just need use following short-code in page or post content:
[wp_user_post]September 5, 2012 at 12:46 pm #2227
I just did that, enter the shortcode, and I see that it shows me all the site’s posts and accesses the media library.
But when I try to create a new post, all it offers is a field for “Title” and that’s all. If I enter something in the title field, it doesn’t move on to allow me to enter something for the post content. If I try to add a media file, it shows me the code, but there is no place to put that. I just don’t understand how this thing works, and why there are no instructions for how to use this plugin. I can see where it could be useful, but not in its present state.September 5, 2012 at 1:12 pm #2228
Here is a screenshot of what I see when I load the New Post tab on the page:
As you can see, there is nothing except a field for the title. No place to write a post. No place to submit a post. No way to format the post. No way to assign where uploaded media should be. I just don’t get this plugin.
And why isn’t there a simple page of instructions instead of making people sort through a million support threads. I frankly don’t understand how some people have gotten far enough with this plugin to even have more specific concerns. I can’t even get to first base.September 8, 2012 at 9:53 pm #2257
