I have been working on a site using MiniMax for a month, and I now tried to move the wordpress site to a production URL. I was able to do a find and replace in my MySQL backup for most of the paths to content, database, etc. to point to the new production URL. The production site works correctly, but the images that where setup using the MiniMax image plugin are still pointing to the location on the dev site. Is there a way to change the URL that Minimax is retrieving the images from with a script or config change, rather than manually editing each file location in Minimax?August 1, 2012 at 8:13 am #1957
you can find and replace dev url with live site url from sql file before import to live site.August 1, 2012 at 3:51 pm #1966
I have already done a replace of all of the instances of the dev URL in my SQL script. The old path is still showing up in the image module on the new site. Where are the paths for the image module stored? What mySQL table? Are they encoded?August 2, 2012 at 11:35 pm #1974
as all data are storing in database and if you mass replace the dev url using live site url. Anyhow all data stored in post meta table and options tableAugust 3, 2012 at 2:46 pm #1976
I have to say that I am extremely disappointed with the support I am receiving for this product. It was purchased to help a client that does not have web programming skills. I am a consultant with over 20 years of programming experience. I would not like to spend my time digging through the PHP code of the MiniMax plugin to try to determine what is going on with the image URLS.
The URLs for the images in the image module are not stored in the mySQL database. If they were I could do a simple find and replace to fix the problem. There is some kind of caching going on with the plugin that is causing my problem. When an image file is requested from the site. It is routed through a URL that starts with timthumb. I can find timthumb txt files in the caching directory of the plugin, but I am unable to read them. They are either encoded or encrypted. Please research this problem further and provide a better answer to the problem than the vague answers supplied above.August 3, 2012 at 10:30 pm #1981
clear cache dir, simply delete all files in cache. They are created by timthumb.php ( the thumbnail generator ) and minimax cache system. Then it should work. Again, all minimax data stored in db.
